Special Notes:
Additional escort or time restrictions may be imposed by districts or the Parkway Authority.
For the West Virginia Parkway Authority, loads exceeding 16 feet in width must be able to clear 2’9” high concrete barriers.
Super Loads:
Any load exceeding single trip permit limits is classified as a super load.
There are no weight or dimension limits (except for overhang), but all loads must pass a bridge analysis and be appropriate for the route.
State Police:
If nighttime travel is permitted due to crossing the West Virginia state line and the adjacent state permit requires night travel, all required escorts must be replaced by police escorts when traveling at night.
