Our Story

From Uncertainty to Opportunity:
The My PEVO Journey

Our story begins in April 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Like many others, my husband, Michael, and I found ourselves in a place of uncertainty. He was a manager at Jared’s Jewelers, and I worked in the hospitality industry, but when the world shut down, we both lost our jobs. With time on our hands and the world at a standstill, we took about a month to reflect and plan. What kind of future did we want? Where would this unexpected pause take us?

Entrepreneurship was always in our blood. He had been hustling since childhood. There is a funny childhood story he tells of freezing juice to make popsicles and selling them at school. I dabbled in freelance makeup artistry and even sold handmade jewelry online. This entrepreneurial spirit made the decision clear: if the world was changing, we would adapt and create something of our own.

We immediately cut down expenses, moved in with his brother, and braced ourselves for what was to come. During this time, he remembered a casual mention from a coworker about a client who worked as a pilot car driver. That memory stuck. “Google it,” he said. So, I did.

From that moment, we poured ourselves into building My PEVO. I devoted myself to cold calling and finding opportunities, while he hit the road, taking every load that came our way to establish our name. We were relentless, determined to make it work.

After about a year, I was tired of him being gone so much, so I joined him on the road. Together, we traveled the country, often sleeping in our vehicle to save money. There was no downtime—just grit, persistence, and a shared vision for our future.

In 2022, our hard work began to bear fruit. We hired our first employee, his cousin Adam, who is now our dispatch manager. Fast forward to today, we are proud to lead a team of 23 employees and worked with over 400 subcontractors last year (2023) across the country.

We are incredibly grateful to God for blessing us with this opportunity. Family has been a cornerstone of our success—we now have 10 family members working alongside us, sharing in the journey.

What began as an uncertain time has transformed into a thriving business, one we are deeply passionate about. Providing for our family and contributing to the livelihoods of others brings us immense joy. We love what we do and are honored to serve our clients with the dedication, care, and heart that define My PEVO.

“They quickly found me three different pilot car drivers for a run from Denver to Maryland, after  another company failed to come through on their promises. Everybody was extremely professional. The "chase" driver that escorted me from West Virginia all the way to Maryland was a 40 year trucking-veteran who knew every curve, hill, and exit on the highway. Good people.”
