*Escort Vehicle Positioning:
On undivided highways, the escort must travel in front of the overdimensional vehicle or load.
On divided highways, the escort must travel in the rear of the overdimensional vehicle or load.
Additionally, escort vehicles must remain within 300 feet of the overdimensional load.
Super Loads:
-
Loads exceeding 16 feet in width, 15 feet 11 inches in height, 125 feet in length, or 160,000 pounds are classified as super loads and must undergo a clerk review.

Police Escorts:
A Nebraska State Patrol escort is mandatory for all loads 20 feet wide or more.
Nebraska State Patrol escorts may also be required for any overdimensional load, as determined by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), to ensure safe travel.
